UPDATE - DECEMBER 2024
Merry Christmas from Agape Help Center!
This is the perfect time to remember with certainty how precious the birth of a small babe is in the sight of God. May we all see life, EVERY LIFE, through His wonderfully amazing eyes, from the pre-born and newborn all the way through to the silver haired young at heart. Please share my goal to warm someone’s heart with a smile every day of the year, because all life should be precious in our sight, as well.
I would like to start by saying how grateful the Board, volunteers, and I are for each and every one of you reading this letter right now. Without your prayers, passion, and financial support, we couldn’t keep the lights on, let alone continue to provide the various types of support and compassion our clients deserve.
This week while handing out hygiene gift boxes from Agape, Christmas food bags from Farmer’s State Bank, and even some donated $25 gift cards, we were shone in hugs, and sometimes tears, just how much of an impact the Center is having on our regular class attendees. This is not accomplished in our own power; it is only by the grace of our Loving Lord and carried out by people like you. – Again, I say thank you.
The attached Meeting Minutes from our December 17th Board includes a list of all the Agape Blessing Tree locations. There is still time to pick an ornament or two as most locations will not be picked up until after the New Year. Please join me in thanking these churches and businesses for their kindness.
Agape Help Center opened its doors on February 14th of 2018 and continues to show the love of Christ to women and men in difficult situations. Our Annual Fundraising Banquet has been moved back up to its anniversary month and will be held at St, Mary Magdalene’s on Thursday, February 13th. We hope to see you there!
We are still in need of some more volunteers. There are many ways to help the center, from sorting clothes and light cleaning to answering phones and helping clients, to name a few. And if you know anyone with an ultrasound license, we are still looking for some to volunteer a few hours a month to run our 4D machine.
If you have any questions, feel free to give me a call at one of the numbers below for more information or to set up a time to meet. I would love to give you a tour and learn more about your strengths and concerns.
I pray you all have a blessed Christmas with family and friends
- In Jesus’ name, Amen
